  • I think this course would be extremely beneficial to me as an educator as it would allow me the opportunity to keep my experiences with early childhood education fresh and relevant…particularly in the area of mathematics. I find that I have had very little professional development experience in the area of early childhood education, as most of the opportunities provided to me and my colleagues is centered on primary and elementary educational experiences, methods, and strategies. Going into my new role as Division Elementary Instructional Coach, I find that this would be a great and affordable opportunity to grow and expand my wealth of knowledge. In addition, I find that the learning outcomes of this course could easily be related and carried over to other aspects of my future position. Please see the learning outcomes listed below.

  •         2) Facilitate your child’s learning of numbers and quantities through play and other daily activities

  • I definitely think this course would be worth my time and money as it is extremely affordable and as identified above, would be very beneficial to my professional growth and would add great information to my toolbox of tricks, strategies, methods, and techniques.   • I think this experience would be extremely beneficial to me with my new role as Instructional Coach for the 2022-2023 academic year. This would be a great experience as our elementary students really struggle in the area of reading comprehension…which is the focus of this professional development experience. In addition, this opportunity is centered on nonfiction texts, which is definitely an area of weakness for our students. I am also drawn to the fact that it is incorporating technology to enhance/transform the reading learning experience for our students through the use of the Actively Learn program.

  • I think this professional development experience would definitely be worth my money…because it’s free! I also think it would be worth my time due to the fact that our kiddos are definitely in need as related to the area of reading comprehension. In addition, other academic areas such as science and social studies can be strengthened and improved through the completion of this experience and the methods/resources provided.
