This social media page is extremely important to me as an NEA member! Updated regularly, this page shares essential information for educators to support them while pursuing their instructional endeavors. The goal of this page is to provide educational news updates and information on how to avoid stumbling across any legal issues in the educational setting. Articles, graphics, and ads are often shared on this page along with reminders that are important to keep us legally safe as educators. In addition, this page provides support efforts regarding salaries, insurance issues, and other postings related to advocating for the rights of educators.

This is a pretty cool social media page that provides parents the opportunity to share resources that support our kiddos at home in regards to education and instruction. This public page is updated regularly by all of its supporters. It houses a variety of resources, advertisements, opportunities for students to explore new programs, tutors, camps, etc., workshop offerings related to behavioral/emotional needs, and an abundance of internet links to some fabulous technology applications. This is a great resource for parents and for educators. Sharing is caring!

Social Media Pages-Borrowed from Classmates

I chose to borrow this page from Laura Davis as it appears to provide an abundance of very useful resources for teachers including fresh ideas, lesson plans, and engaging graphics and reading selections to share with our kiddos. In addition, I find that bringing the world of science and investigation to life in the classroom also increases our kiddos' skills and abilities as related to reading comprehension!

This social media suggestion was borrowed from Pamela Donatoni. I borrowed this page from Pamela as it provides opportunities for teachers to share daily strategies in an effort to promote thinking in the classroom. I find it essential to share our ideas and tricks of the trade with others. Sharing ideas that work helps all educators at becoming masters of their craft!

This idea was borrowed from Emily Eagle. I chose to follow a gifted education page because as educators we should always be thinking of ways to enrich the educational experiences of our students. We all have students that slip under the radar and/or need to be challenged. I think this is a great place to acquire essential, well founded information and resources as we get the ball rolling in our own classrooms.

This social media page was borrowed from Katrina Todd. I chose to borrow this page because I find it important that educators stick together and share their stories. As educators, we all have stories...some good and some bad...but they are our stories and they shape us as educators. I think this is a great place for educators to share their stories, voices, and ideas!
